I tried the A la carte in restaurant for dinner one night. Ordered a steak. Cooked perfectly. Salad in restaurant was pretty decent, too. The staff were friendly and efficient, despite my terrible Spanish. The Bottle of water was gratefully received. В целом – да, роскошь есть. Холл шикарный, люстры сверкают, персонал улыбается (почти всегда, ха-ха!). НО! Хоть убейте, я не помню, чтобы мне в Венесуэле *где-то* кофе подавали идеально сразу. В этом отеле – тоже не всегда. Один раз ждал, пока принесут, полчаса! А потом ещё полчаса дозванивался, чтобы убрали со столика пепельницу, которая вообще-то по идее не должна там стоять (курить нельзя, но кто их знает?).
Короче, роскошь с венесуэльским акцентом. Готовьтесь к небольшим задержкам, к тому, что полотенца могут быть недостаточно пушистыми (утрирую, конечно!), но в целом – это реально крутой отель. И бассейн на крыше – это прямо вау!
А номера-то как? Реально просторные и красивые?
О, номера! Это, пожалуй, самая сильная сторона отеля. У меня был с видом на город (хотя, честно говоря, Каракас – не самый фотогеничный город в мире, но все равно неплохо). Номер просторный, кровать – огромная и безумно удобная. Ванная комната – царство мрамора и зеркал.
Единственный косяк, который я заметил (а я к мелочам придираюсь, грешен) – иногда у душа напор воды слабоват, но это, наверное, специфика Венесуэлы, у них там с водой проблемы бывают иногда. И да, пару раз не работал телевизор, но это быстро исправили. В общем и целом – номера огонь!
Что там с едой? Говорят, рестораны в Marriott – это всегда уровень...
Эх, с едой… тут у меня, знаете, двоякое ощущение. Рестораны в JW Marriott, конечно, стараются. Есть и итальянский, и стейк-хаус. Еда вкусная, особенно стейки – прям пальчики оближешь! Но цены... как будто ты в Майами, а не в Каракасе.
Завтраки – шведский стол, выбор огромный, но опять же – идеала нет. То омлет пересолят, то кофе остывший. Но! Есть потрясающие фрукты, свежевыжатые соки… Вот это – да, это прям кайф. Так что, если вы не боитесь цен и хотите попробовать что-то интересное – смело идите в рестораны. А если вам просто перекусить – лучше сходите в "Супермеркадо" (местный супермаркет), там дешевле и аутентичней.
Безопасно ли там? А то я слышал, в Каракасе не очень спокойно...
Вот это, пожалуй, самый важный вопрос! Да, в Каракасе небезопасно, это правда. Но! JW Marriott – это, считайте, крепость. Охрана на каждом шагу, везде камеры, всё под контролем. Выходишь из дверей – сразу охрана вызывает такси, чтобы ты никуда не пошёл пешком.
Внутри отеля – вообще никаких проблем. Расслабьтесь и наслаждайтесь! Главное – соблюдайте элементарные меры предосторожности, не гуляйте поздно вечером, не показывайте дорогие вещи... В общем, как и в любом большом городе.
А вот однажды, по дороге из аэропорта... блин, лучше промолчу. Но отель тут вообще ни при чем! Это так, к слову.
Какие вообще есть развлечения в отеле и вокруг?
Развлечения... в отеле есть бассейн (шикарный!), фитнес-зал (я туда не ходил, врать не буду), спа-центр (говорят, неплохой). Вечером можно посидеть в баре, выпить коктейль... В общем, стандартный набор.
Вокруг отеля... ну, тут сложнее. Каракас – это город не для пеших прогулок. В пешей доступности – ничего особо интересного, разве что торговый центр. Но зато от отеля можно легко добраться до каких-нибудь достопримечательностей на такси. Только осторожно выбирайте такси, договаривайтесь о цене заранее!
А вот одна история. Я как-то решил сходить в местный музей. Думал, быстро доберусь на такси. В итоге – попал в пробку, чуть не опоздал на важную встречу и потратил кучу денег. Так что, планируйте свои передвижения тщательно!
